Is NexStudio a game?
No. It is not a game and it is not played. It is desktop software (an IDE) to create plugins for Counter-Strike 1.6.
What is it for?
To create, edit and compile Pawn / AMX Mod X plugins: menus, bosses, modes, admin systems and server mods.
Which game does it support?
Counter-Strike 1.6 with AMX Mod X. It does not replace the game client or a game server.
What files does it generate?
Mainly .sma (source) and .amxx (compiled plugin), plus templates and AI-assisted snippets.
What is a .sma and an .amxx?
A .sma is the Pawn source you edit. An .amxx is the compiled binary the AMXX server loads as a plugin.
Do I need to know how to code?
It helps, and it is recommended if you publish plugins. AI can draft a plugin from text, but you should review it before putting it on a server.
Does the AI create the plugin by itself?
It can generate a first version from your description. It does not replace your judgment, testing, or compile checks.
Does the code always compile?
No. We do not guarantee that every generation compiles on the first try. AMXX versions and natives vary. The AI can also make mistakes.
Does it work for CS 1.6?
Yes. That is the target game. Plugins are for CS 1.6 servers running AMX Mod X, not for CS2 or other titles.
What is the official website?
The official site is https://nexstudio-amxx.com. That is where you download the IDE, create an account and manage plans.
What is NexStudio Mapper?
A new block-based map editor for GoldSrc / CS 1.6. It is coming soon. Access at launch is exclusive to paid plans (Premium, Pro and Programmer).
Can I use it for free?
Yes. The Free plan includes a basic editor, compiling, templates, 1 project and limited AI Chat, with NexStudio branding visible.
What does Premium include?
Full editor, limited Pawn AI Chat, plugins from text, AI compile fixes, AMXX version switching, advanced templates, more projects, generation priority and support. $10 USD/month.
What does Pro include?
Everything in Premium, more AI credits, better models, plugin export/history and priority support. $20 USD/month.
What does Programmer + Owners + Server include?
Everything in Pro, programmer tools, owner management, server access, more Chat IA tokens and highest priority. $50 USD/month.
How do I pay?
Paid plans are charged in USD by card through Stripe from the pricing page or your account. The plan activates when payment is confirmed. Current prices are on the pricing page; staff can update them.
Is it affiliated with Valve?
No. NexStudio is unofficial third-party software. It is not affiliated with Valve, Counter-Strike, or official AMX Mod X.
Are my plugins mine?
Yes. You keep your source and compiled plugins. NexStudio keeps its software, trademarks and models. You are responsible for how you use what you generate.
